  1. Did you like Minority Report? I quite enjoyed the film and (perhaps somewhat shamefully!) didn't realise it was from a book!

  2. I have not seen the film; the book - or rather, short story - is really quite good. However, I picked the book up thinking it was an entire novel (since there was nothing on the cover to tell me otherwise) and was a little disappointed to discover 'Minority Report' is one of many short stories; I'm not a huge fan of science fiction (although I do like Philip K. Dick's work) so I didn't really enjoy reading an entire book of sci-fi novelettes..

  4. Yes; I really enjoy reading Richard Yates' work - he has such a lovely writing style. I'm currently reading Easter Parade, I recommend his work to anyone.

  5. I love Revolutionary Road but I think The Easter Parade is my faourite by Richard Yates. I recently finished that Kafka book too, it was pretty intense reading I thought!

  6. I'm currently reading Easter Parade, it's wonderful. A few of Kafka's short stories were an absolute dream to read.. others were not so perfect. I'm tempted to read The Castle, have you read that?

Glad you're enjoying The Easter Parade though. I have a few more of his books on my shelf to be read including his short stories collection which I have been highly recommended, can't wait!
